Sales & Charter Coordinator
Julie Spence joined The Shipyard Group at the beginning of 2008 as Sales and Charter Coordinator. Raised on a thoroughbred horse farm in Lexington, KY and educated in Kuwait and China, Julie went in a different direction and became immersed in the yachting industry in 1992. Starting as crew aboard the 125’ M/Y Blue Attraction, Julie quickly climbed the ranks to obtain her 100 Ton USCG Captain’s license. Living aboard and sailing her own 45’ Sloop, Julie worked with a land-based company in marketing and management. Julie returned to South Florida in 1996, and within a 10-year period, she established and managed business operations for three very successful yacht brokerage companies. Julie brings a proven ability to communicate, a commitment to serve with inspiring integrity, and a desire to share her professionalism and business excellence to the TSG Team.
As a result of her desire to serve, Julie also volunteers with families in crisis and children of all ages and is a strong advocate of nature preservation, serving as a member of the Florida Sierra Club and National Audubon Society.
