Yacht Broker
Steve has been with The Shipyard Group as a yacht broker from day one. In addition to yacht sales he is the owner of YachtFlights International Concierge (YachtFlights.com), a premium air based concierge service for yachts traveling throughout the Bahamas and Caribbean, and is the director of sales for Ft. Lauderdale’s newest megayacht dockominium development, Pier 17 Marina and Yacht Club (pier17.net). Pier 17 sells their covered megayacht slips from 80' - 155' on a fee simple basis.
Steve is an innovator who excels at and takes pride in his client service, always putting listening to a client's wishes and desires at the top of his list. His talent in using creativity to develop "win-win" solutions to satisfy both parties when putting deals together has contributed immensely to his success. Steve is also a member of the Florida Yacht Brokers Association with whom he regularly attends continuing education seminars so he is always at the forefront of the rules and regulations of his profession.
Growing up in the shadow of our Nation's Capital in Alexandria, Virginia, he is a graduate of The College of William and Mary. He began his brokerage career in 2001 when he moved to Fort Lauderdale to pursue a profession he could be passionate about as well as find a new city to call home. Even at a young age he made a point of making regular trips to the water with family and friends from the Chesapeake Bay to the Outer Banks of North Carolina, fishing, and enjoying the freedom of being on the water. His love of these destinations and boating logically led him to a career in yacht sales.
Early on in life Steve had the opportunity to learn valuable business lessons in management, ethics, commitment, and trust working in his family's successful construction company. These skills, his passion for people, and natural leadership ability, enabled him to earn a college football scholarship, and pursue a brief but fulfilling Arena Football career; all setting a foundation for his success in the yachting industry.
